Joey Cranney is a state and local government reporter for The Post and Courier in Columbia, South Carolina. He is the co-founder of the Local Matters newsletter, a weekly roundup of local watchdog reporting from across the country.
He covered sports and government for newspapers in Pennsylvania and Florida. He studied journalism at Temple University.
